The Texture of Water

Water cascades through the stepping stones in Tollymore Forest in Newcastle Co Down. This long-exposure black & white shot gives a dam-like appearance to the water accentuating the shape and texture of the flow of water. The diagonal from top-right to bottom-left shows the transformation of the still water into rapids as it passes through the stepping stones. As I stare at this image I can hear the river flow and feel the texture of the water as if it were escaping through your fingers. A truly magical image for the senses.
