St John’s Point Harbour Light

St John’s Point Lighthouse in Donegal, marking the north side of the bay leading to Killybegs Harbour. This image is a juxtaposition of textures between the stone and the dry grass. with the smooth white of the light and its surrounding walls. The white clouds also provide interest in the sky and complement the rocks diagonally within the image. As one of the many great lighthouses of Ireland looked after by the Commissioners of Irish Lights this makes for an interesting photographic subject.
