Pine Marten Perch

One of nature's most adorable assassins, the European Pine Marten is a rare find in Ireland they are slowly making a comeback and are helping to eradicate the non-native grey squirrel. It's stare from the branch is mesmerising and hypnotic as it cautiously approached. This very skittish Pine Marten was shot in a hide in Ballyfin Co Laois.
